Bios ![]() ![]() Terry Lawless is a keyboardist. He is also fluent in all the reeds and double reeds, majoring in bassoon performance while attending Coe College and the University of Iowa. He has worked strictly in the music business for over 35 years, touring with many major acts as a player / programmer, recently returning from the U2 "Vertigo" tour. Artists, producers and studios have utilized his talents as a sound designer for almost 3 decades. Terry now operates a vintage keyboard overdub studio in Santa Maria, CA, where he and local composer, David Rackley, record and master their CDs. His roots run deep in jazz, rock and pop as well as classical, still performing on saxophone, flute and keyboards on the Central Coast. Lawless has kept his finger on the musical pulse, touring with international acts for some 30+ years. His impressive resume includes U2, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Janet Jackson, Phil Collins, Boston, Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, the Doobie Brothers, Paula Abdul, Don Henley, and scores more. From a music All-American in high school to a member of the Iowa Music Association Hall Of Fame to a Grammy Award nominee, Terry Lawless has crafted his musicality and chops his entire life. Terry has been making sojourns to Dublin, London, Nice and Morocco to record keyboards with his Irish associates. The project is U2's upcoming new CD, as yet unnamed. He has been the keyboardist on other U2 recordings, most notable are the two new songs recorded on the current greatest hits CD, "U218 Singles" ("The Saints Are Coming" with GreenDay and "Window In The Skies", both recorded at Abbey Road). Terry played on 2 of U2's 3 songs nominated for awards at the 2008 Grammies. Check out his discography and his stage gear. ![]() ![]() At home Mike owns and operates MAD Productions, a project studio targeted at producing his work and demos for local artists. He regularly works at other local studios in various capacities, duties including producing records for artists, technical consultant, and studio preproduction for major touring acts. Until recently he was working for Evoke Communications, a Webconferencing/Teleconferencing company as Senior Audio Engineer. Dean has been an integral part of the big music picture, touring with such international acts as the Backstreet Boys, Bonnie Raitt, Ricky Martin, Chicago, the Beach Boys, Boz Scaggs, Bette Midler, Don Henley, Peter Cetera, Boston, Seal, Ozzie Osborn, the Doobie Brothers and Janet Jackson. Michael has developed both playing and technical skills, specializing in guitars, keyboards, MIDI and guitar systems design and programming. He is a synth programmer and has great sequencing skills. He has logged numerous hours mixing and remixing in a studio environment. He is also very familiar with tuning, maintenance, and operation of most fretted and/or stringed instruments. Mike worked over two years in instrument repair, and is qualified to perform major guitar surgery. He also has experience with alternate tunings such as lap and pedal steels.,/font> ![]() |
